PLAN Institute offers a variety of books and DVDs as well as on-line and in-person workshops specifically designed for individuals with a disability and their families.
Weaving the Ties that Bind (on-line): PLAN Institute for Caring Citizenship has created this full day workshop designed to walk participants through PLAN’s proven approach to personal network development.
Representation Agreement (on-line) : Informs participants of the legal implications of the Representation Agreement and helps them understand the benefits of a supported decision making document.
RDSP (in person): Provides participants with a step-by-step approach to eligibility, opening a Registered Disability Saving Plan and the potential benefits of the RDSP.
Wills, Trusts and Estates (in-person): Walks participants through the necessary steps to prepare an up to date will. Designed to answer specific questions about trusts, executors, guardians and the importance of planning a will, participants will learn about Committeship, Enduring Power of Attorney and Representation Agreement.
Introduction to PLAN: One of the best ways to obtain information about PLAN and the services we offer is to attend this free 90 minute orientation. The orientation is conducted by family members and provides a good introduction to who we are and what we do. This session is free but registration is required.
